Privacy Policy
Version 1.1 · Effective October 26, 2026
DimeSeed is a trade name of CapCom Group LLC (“DimeSeed,” “we,” “us”), San Antonio, Texas. This policy explains what information we handle when you use dimeseed.com or buy a DimeSeed product, and what we do with it.
The short version
- The free calculator works without an account. The numbers you type are not sent to us.
- If you buy a Founding Member pass, we receive your purchase details from Stripe and the numbers you choose to email us.
- We delete the numbers you send and your report 13 months after your purchase. We don’t sell your information.
The calculator keeps your numbers on your device
The True Cost calculator runs in your web browser. The prices, rates, and other numbers you enter are not sent to us, and we do not store them on our servers.
So you can pick up where you left off, the calculator saves your latest numbers in your browser’s local storage on that device. No cookie is set. To clear them, tap Start over in the calculator or clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
If you tap Copy a link to these numbers or Copy my numbers, your numbers are written into the link itself. Anyone you give that link to can open and see those numbers, so share it only with people you choose. We see the link only if you send it to us.
What we collect
- Visitor statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages people use. It reports totals, such as page views and the kind of device used, and does not use cookies.
- Hosting and security. Our site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.
- Purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your name, email address, billing address (used to calculate sales tax), the amount, the date, and a record that you accepted our Terms. We never see or store your full card number.
- Email. If you email [email protected], we receive your email address and message. Messages are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to our business email inbox.
- Numbers for your report. The vehicle numbers and notes you choose to send us.
We never need your Social Security number, bank or loan account numbers, credit report, or income documents. Please don’t send them. If you do, we’ll delete them.
How we use it
- To prepare and deliver your report, and give you the calculators you bought.
- To reply to you.
- To keep the tax and accounting records the law requires.
- To count visits so we can improve the site.
We don’t use your numbers for marketing, and we don’t send marketing email unless you ask to receive it.
Who can see it
Only the owner of DimeSeed reads member emails, numbers, and reports. These service providers process information for us: Cloudflare (hosting, visitor statistics, and email forwarding), Stripe (payments and sales tax), and our email provider (which stores the messages you send). We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Numbers you send, our emails about your report, and the report itself: deleted 13 months after your purchase date.
- Purchase records (name, email, amount, date, and tax): kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Messages from people who haven’t bought anything: deleted within 13 months.
- Numbers saved in your browser: stay on your device until you tap Start over or clear this site’s data.
Your choices
You can ask to see or delete the information we hold about you. Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request” from the address you used with us. We’ll respond within 30 days. Some purchase records may have to be kept for tax purposes, and we’ll tell you if that applies.
Security
We use established providers for hosting and payments, and access to customer information is limited to the owner. No way of storing or sending information is completely secure.
Children
DimeSeed is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
